Pumpkin Patch on Oct 29

This year we are excited to be creating a pumpkin patch in our schoolyard!

Families are invited to carve a pumpkin at home to display in the pumpkin patch. We are encouraging the grade twos to create a jock-o-lantern with the theme of bugs. It would be so fun to see lots of "creepy crawlies" out there. If you are not up for the bug theme, you are welcome to bring a pumpkin of any design. Please remember your pumpkin design should be suitable for kindergarten to grade 5 students.

  • Students will bring their pumpkin to their designated area on the morning of Oct 29

  • Students will bring their pumpkin home after school on Oct 29 (Students will be dismissed from the pumpkin patch to support this)

 

Students will have a scheduled time to visit the Pumpkin Patch during the day. Unfortunately, at this time we cannot allow parents and families to visit the Pumpkin Patch.

Museum School - Day 1 Canadian Landscapes   We had a great first day at virtual Museum School. On our virtual tour, Jennie, our museum guide gave us a close up look at some of the beautiful paintings in the Canadian Landscape gallery.  Jennie then asked us to "step inside" one of the paintings and to use our senses to write a letter telling a family member what it was like to be on the beautiful landscape we had chosen.  During the afternoon we used pastels to create our own Canadian landscape art.
